# Lexware Backup: sync4 und sync4 Dienst stoppen

{% hint style="warning" %} <mark style="color:red;">Bevor Sie ein Lexware Backup durchführen, sollten Sie immer darauf achten, dass sync4 auf allen Arbeitsplätzen geschlossen ist und der sync4 Dienst deaktiviert ist.</mark>

### **sync4 Instanzen schließen**

Bevor Sie das Lexware Backup durchführen, schließen Sie alle offenen Verbindungen von sync4, egal ob an PC’s oder Servern.\
Wenn Sie an allen Plätzen sync4 geschlossen haben und den sync4 Dienst deaktiviert haben, können Sie das Backup durchführen.

### **sync4 Dienst deaktivieren**

Wenn Sie den sync4 Dienst im Einsatz haben (sync4 Ultimate Version) und dieser Installiert ist, läuft er im Hintergrund.\
Wenn dieser so konfiguriert ist, dass er automatisiert z.B.: „Wawi syncs“ durchführt, baut dieser ebenfalls eine Verbindung zu Lexware auf, dies sollte beim Backup durchführen allerdings vermieden werden.

Gehen Sie also, bevor Sie das Backup durchführen, auf Ihrem Server in die „Windows Dienste“ und suchen dort nach dem Dienst „sync4 Service“.

Beenden Sie den Dienst, solange, bis das Lexware Backup erfolgreich durchgeführt wurde. Danach den „sync4 Service“-Dienst in den Windows Diensten wieder aktivieren, damit er wieder weiterarbeitet. Nachdem Backup kann an PC und Server die sync4 Software wieder gestartet werden.
