# Umlaute fehlerhaft im Shop

### Umlaute und Sonderzeichen sind falsch

Sollten Umlaute nach der Übertragung der Artikel falsch dargestellt werden, bedeutet das, dass der Server wahrscheinlich standardmäßig auf eine andere Kodierung eingestellt ist.

Für Sync4 und der Standard aller Webserver wird das „utf-8“ Format benutzt.

Tragen Sie in der **.htaccess** im **Root-Ordner** einfach folgendes am Ende ein:

```
AddDefaultCharset utf-8
```

Es sollte dann funktionieren.

Sollten Umlaute nach der Übertragung der Artikel falsch dargestellt werden, hat der Webserverbetreiber die falsche Kodierung installiert.\
Das Umstellen der serverseitigen Codepage ist sehr umständlich. Um alle Zeichen alle Länder darstellen zu können, ist nur das Format „UTF-8“ geeignet.\
Für sync4 und dem Standard aller Webserver wird das „utf-8“ Format genommen.\
Sie können, obwohl Ihr Provider eine anderer Codepage unterstützt, Ihren Shop auf UTF-8 umstellen.

**Folgende Informationen können Sie Ihrem Web Administrator zur Verfügung stellen.**

**Tragen Sie in der .htaccess im Root-Ordner einfach folgendes am Ende ein:**

```

**Dann sollte es funktionieren.**
